About the Presenter

Nancy Turret, L.C.S.W., C.C.P.T. has worked with Katherine Shear, M.D. since 2007 at which time, Dr. Shear began her study focusing on the efficacy of her treatment for PGD. Nancy worked as a therapist in the study until completion of the study. Additionally, Nancy trains mental health professionals and provides workshops and webinars for the Center for Prolonged Grief Disorder. With three colleagues from the center, Nancy became a founder and director of The Clinic for Prolonged Grief Disorder, whose goal is to help as many people as possible conquer this devasting illness. Nancy worked for 35 years at The New York State Psychiatric Institute before retiring. Presently, Nancy maintains a private practice where she helps individuals all over the United States heal from devasting losses.
