Prolonged Grief Treatment (PGT) is a simple 16-week treatment that’s been tested and proven efficacious in 3 randomized controlled trials funded by the National Institute of Mental Health.  PGT addresses “stuck” points and fosters adaptation to loss by helping clients 1) understand and accept grief and manage grief-emotions, 2) see possibility for a promising future, 3) strengthen relationships with friends and family, 4) narrate a story of the loss, 5)  learn to live with reminders of the loss, and 6) connect with memories.

The bundle includes:

1. A session-by-session instruction manual
2. Forms and handouts for clients and therapists to utilize during the treatment
3. A set of simple assessment measures used to identify and characterize Prolonged Grief and track progress through the treatment
