ABOUT THE PRESENTER

Judith Cohen, M.D. is a board-certified child and adolescent psychiatrist, Professor of Psychiatry at Drexel University College of Medicine, and Medical Director, Center for Traumatic Stress in Children and Adolescents at Allegheny General Hospital/Allegheny Health Network in Pittsburgh. She is co-developer of Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (https://tfcbt.org ; www.musc.edu/tfcbt2 ) described in Treating Trauma and Traumatic Grief in Children and Adolescents, 2nd Edition (www.guilford.com/p/cohen ); past Co-Chair of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry’s Child Maltreatment & Violence Committee and current co-chair of the National Child Traumatic Stress Network’s Child Sexual Abuse Committee. She is a consultant to the Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors and Sesame Workshop and maintains an active practice training and consulting to professionals to implement evidence-based trauma treatment for children and their families.

Target Audience: health and mental health professionals, graduate-level students, and those who work closely with bereaved people, like hospice administrators, clergy, and support group facilitators.

This is an Introductory to Intermediate course. There is no commercial support or conflicts of interest with this course.
